NYS Crime Victim Compensation

Innocent victims of crime may be entitled to compensation for out-of-pocket losses associated with the crime. This compensation may include but are not limited to:

  • Medical expenses
  • Loss of wages
  • Essential Personal Property
  • Counseling
  • Funeral and Burial Costs

Court Advocacy & Assistance

Crime Victims often need assistance in understanding all court-related proceedings, our agency provides:

  • Court Assistance
  • Criminal Justice System Information
  • Linkage to Police and District Attorney
  • Victim Impact Statements
  • Probation/ Parole Information

Community Outreach & Referrals

Our agency staff is available to provide home visits for disabled and senior residents. We also provide access to various community agencies; these include but are not limited to:

  • Counseling
  • Food Pantry
  • Emergency Shelter
  • Legal Services
